Fall 2019 "Advisory Committee Chair” applications being accepted now through February 10th.    The current Football ACC, John Hillock, and Cross Country ACC, Megan Haas have expressed interested in committing to another year. BOYS’ SWIM & DIVE (5-2)     KingCo Championships start

This week the Issaquah Boys Swim & Dive Team finished their regular season with a 6-2 dual meet record with wins over Bellevue and Interlake and co-hosted the KingCo Invitational.

On Tuesday, the Eagles’ skeleton crew defeated Bellevue by the score of 102-81. Highlights include: Divers Robert Gref, Jacob Hansen and Taylor Hunter finished 1-2-3; Swimmers who placed: Adam Hansen (1st & 2nd); Chris Harig  (1st & 2nd); Karl Yount (1st & 3rd); Weston Crewe (2nd & 2nd); Blake Ueda (1st); William Paxton (2nd); Ryan Cho (3rd) and Tuan Zhang (3rd ). Many team members scored valuable points individually and on relays.

On Thursday Issaquah beat Interlake by the score of 114-71… detailed results are not yet available but many of the same swimmers and divers along with Joshua Sun and Owen Zablocki contributed to the win.

Issy co-hosted the KingCo Invitational on Saturday at which Adam Bussey, Luke Holtrop, Johnny Lee & Mikey Redding qualified for the KingCo Championship. The complete list of qualifiers for KingCo, District & State Champs can be found here.

Next Up: KingCo Swimming Champs on Mercer, Island-Mary Wayte Pool on 10am on Friday (2/1) & 3pm Saturday (2/2).   KingCo Diving Champs at Junita are onSaturday 2/2, 9:30am

DANCE TEAM

Congrats to the IHS Dance Team for placing 1st place in both Dance and Pom categories at their first competition of the season held on Jan 26,2019 at the Redmond High School. Also, a big congrats to junior Shelby Chang for coming in 2nd place at the advanced drill downs!Way to go girls!!

BOYS’ WRESTLING  (8-0)     

Issy beat Mt Si on Tue (1/22), 48-27.  So far, 1st in KingCo - way to go boys! Pictures found on the KingCo site for the 1/19 tournament and 1/22 (Stop Action Photo) meet.   

Up Next:  Last meet of the season will be this Tuesday at Skyline, 7pm.  Post season schedule not yet available, but they are going!

GYMNASTICS  (4-4)      

5th in KingCo. On Thu (1/24) Issy tied Bellingham 160-160 and beat Eastlake, 160-139.  The last meet of the season is this Thursday, 7pm at Newport, when the team completes against Newport and Interlake.  Come cheer on your Eagles!

BOYS’ BASKETBALL   KingCo Crest/Crown Playoffs start

Varsity (KingCo Crest 6-6 / Overall 8-11)

Issy had a tough week, with a tight loss to Inglemoor on Tue (1/22), 58-62, then at home the Eagles fought hard against the powerful Mt Si, losing 49-74.  Friday was still a special night, as we celebrated out Seniors; Jonathan Lo, Jameson Pastor, Asa Taylor (scoring 14 pts), Brian Yoon

Next Up:  Last regular game is this Tuesday, 8pm at home vs Redmond.  Post Season Play begins!  KingCo Crest/Crown 4A Tournament starts Friday, 7pm at Higher Speed, Saturday Finals at Bellevue High.  Bracket  All KingCo Crest/Crown teams will qualify for WesCo-KingCo 4A tournament, starting Feb 8th  Bracket  Top 5 go to State.

JV (KingCo Crest 6-7 / Overall 9-10)    Two wins this week; Tue (1/22) win over Inglemoor, 59-57, and Friday (1/25) win over Mt Si, 53-39.  Way to go boys!    Last game of the year will be this Tuesday at Redmond, 5pm.   

CTeam  (KingCo 6-3 / Overall 10-4)  Two wins this week; Mon (1/21) win over Newport, 42-34, and Thu (1/24) win over Inglemoor, 44-34.   Way to go boys!    Only four more games (two weeks) left in the season.      

GIRLS' BASKETBALL         KingCo Crest/Crown Playoffs start

Next Up:  4A KingCo Crest/Crown Playoffs start this Friday, 7pm (at Higher Speed) and Saturday (time & location determined from Friday’s game).  Issaquah is tied for 3rdin KingCo Crest. KingCo 4A Bracket.  All KingCo Crest/Crown teams will qualify for WesCo-KingCo 4A tournament, starting Feb 7thWes-King 4A Bracket  Top 5 go to State
